Being diagnosed as a child with a hearing loss from the measles, we were told that nothing could be done because of damage to the nerve. Throughout my adulthood, I had several more screenings with specialists who offered the same diagnosis with little hope. Your recommendation to my husband that I be re-screened has been a life altering experience. Beginning with the first moment I walked into the offices of Buffalo Hearing & Speech Center, I have been met with warmth and professionalism from each and every one of your staff.
Upon my screening, Tracy evaluated each test score with an explanation, which impressed me since this was something that I had never been given the opportunity to witness. After receiving my hearing aid, I walked out of your offices that day and was amazed at what I had been missing after all these years. I have never had to adjust to the hearing aides, as they are so light and easy to wear that I forget they are on. Also, the fact that they come in designer colors seems to take the old stigma that hearing aides have had away and make them similar to wearing glasses. I went with Chameleon Green to make a fashion statement!
I am in awe of what I now can hear, whether attending a large gathering or by myself; I can only imagine how someone with a greater loss must feel when they are able to hear life for the first time, it is truly music to the ears! Thank you so much!"
