Occupational Therapist-Registered


 Major Responsibilities

The occupational therapist is responsible for providing occupational therapy services to patients and students of the Center whose ability to function is impaired by congenital or developmental disability, physical illness or injury, in order to achieve optimum treatment, habilitation or rehabilitation.


Knowledge, Skills and Special Requirements

1. Thorough knowledge of the principles and practices of occupational therapy
2. Thorough knowledge of standards of clinical practice established by the American Occupational Therapy Association
3. Ability to exhibit sound, professional judgment and maturity


Experience

1. New York State Licensed and Registered as an Occupational Therapist
2. Graduate of an Occupational Therapy curriculum accredited jointly by the Council of Medical Education of the American Medical Association and the American Occupational Therapy Association
