General Information

Welcome to our site. I thank you for taking an interest in the Buffalo Hearing & Speech Center (BHSC). Buffalo Hearing & Speech Center is a private, not-for-profit 501 (c) (3) organization, accredited by the National Association of Speech and Hearing Centers and is licensed by the New York State Department of Health and the New York State Education Department.

Communication is the foundation of human interaction. Throughout the developmental lifespan, effective communication is a necessary life skill for child and adult alike. We help people solve communication problems. For over 50 years, Buffalo Hearing & Speech Center has been a community resource for children, adolescents and adults with concerns about speech, language, learning and hearing. Our Licensed Audiologists, Speech Language Pathologists, Certified Education and Teaching Staff along with our Certified Clinical Staff of Social Workers, Psychologists, Music Therapists, Occupational Therapists and Physical Therapists evaluate, diagnose and treat individual problems so that each person might realize their potential.

We offer comprehensive speech, language, hearing, audiology services and early childhood education and evaluation programs for Erie and Niagara counties. BHSC is conveniently located in downtown Buffalo on the Buffalo Niagara Medical Campus with clinic offices in Williamsville and West Seneca. In addition, we have a school program and home based community evaluation services available in Silver Creek, extending our services to Chautauqua and Cattaraugus counties.

Each year, over 7000 clients of all ages come to us for help with their communication needs. Our staff is dedicated to providing state-of-the-art evaluations, education, therapy for individuals with a wide variety of speech, language, and learning problems.
